Welcome to Moonflare
home of free stuff for free download,
among other things.
This page and everything on it is the personal work of
Derrick Coetzee,
a student of computer science and mathematics with an interest
in computer languages and algorithms. Here I distribute
and discuss my current and future software projects. During my
research and education I have created the programs here as prototypes
and exercises, and I hope others may find them useful.
May 21, 2006 - Put up a download page for my
spatial color quantization utility scolorq.
January 2, 2004 - Put up a download/installation and a features
page for my prototype-based language MLud.
August 1, 2003 - Added my Standard ML structures implementing
Confluently Persistent Catenable Deques.
July 2, 2003 - Added my Lisp module
po2hr for converting Otter proof
objects to human-readable LaTeX proofs.
June 18, 2003 - Added two C modules to my
code section, C
List Template and Prestring,
both intended to abstract away useful structures in C that are
constantly reinvented. Also updated the
Abacus Tutorial, mainly by writing a PHP script to generate the
abacus diagrams, where before they were constructed by hand.
April 29, 2003 - Added my Neural
Network C++ class to the brand new Code
section of the site, where I'll post more source code I've written
in the future.
March 29, 2003 - Added the Introduction to
CVS, a short document written for group members on a school project,
but whose audience is anyone who only wants to use an existing repository,
such as patrons of SourceForge.
January 25, 2003 - Added a nifty Google search for my site,
using their ad-supported
Free Search solution. Also made current page stand out and unclickable
in menus and added Documents
page, and made my e-mail address easier to find.
October 26, 2002 - Added Documents section with the beginnings
of the new document Abacus Lessons
and providing access to the old document
Tautological Sayings.
Also now using PHP scripts to construct menus, to decrease maintenance
overhead, and I plan to expand use of PHP in the future.
October 21, 2002 - Is it just me, or do I not update this page
nearly enough? I've finally moved the page to my own server to avoid
those nasty ads and limitations. I plan on making some changes, such
as a conversion to XHTML and
the addition of some new sections and an
overall downgrade in pretentiousness. Hope I find the time!
April 12, 2002 - I've removed the open source page from the
site because I felt the speech was stilted and overly optimistic. Also
planning to add a new section to discuss some of my new language
ideas.
June 19, 2001 - With Freeserver's outright, and really rather
stupid refusal to host MSIs, I've retracted Runner's Windows Installer setup and
replaced it with a plain binary, but it's just as well. Download it
free now.
March 17,
2001 - Runner 2.0 released!
Download it free now.
February 27,
2001 - Runner 2.0 is in the works. Deserving of a whole version
number jump, Runner 2.0 is now being written from scratch with
new features to make it truly
an easy and flexible solution for lauching your apps.
January 6, 2001 -
Out with the old, in with the new. Moonflare's website goes from company-oriented to individual oriented, with a new focus on free stuff.
